…cold was the ground

Ce travail sur écorce est pour moi la synthèse de ce qui m’est le plus cher entre les thèmes que je choisis d’aborder et, en terme de savoir-faire, la meilleure jonction possible pour moi entre le dessin et la peinture. J’y fait coïncider mon goût pour les choses du passé et une certaine facture fantastique, et je prends les sujets qui m’animent pour les joindre aux paysages, aux scènes et aux sujets propres à la région du Saguenay ainsi que de mon quotidien parfois.

This work on bark synthesizes the most importants themes for me and in terms of know-how, it is the best junction I know between drawing and painting. In it my taste for the things of the past and a slight fantasy come together; and the subjects that move me are joined to the landscapes and scenes from the Saguenay region (in the province of Québec) and sometimes from my daily life.
